Cottage cheese sweet balls

Crunchy and soft; sour and sweet; easy to make; tasty to eat! An ukranian recipe.

Ingredients

For the balls:

  • 400g cottage cheese
  • sugar
  • semolina
  • a pinch of salt

For the topping:

  • ground crackers
  • butter
  • sugar
  • sour cream

Preparation

Mix the cottage cheese, sugar, semolina and salt. Put 2 liters of water in a pot and bring to boil. Drop the balls in the boiling water, one by one, as you make them. When they re-appear to the surface, take them out with a colander spoon and put them on a plate.

Now prepare the crackers: Fry the ground crackers in a pan with butter. When they are golden, add the sugar and fry a little bit more.

How to eat

Put some ground crackers in a plate and add the balls on top. Then sprinkle some more crackers on top and add a spoon of sour cream.
